VANCOUVER, B.C., — The Vancouver Canucks announced today that tickets for the February 24th Open Practice, presented by BC Hydro Power Smart, will be available beginning Saturday, January 12th, 2008 at 10:00 am. The club will be extending an invitation to fans to attend an NHL practice at General Motors Place on Sunday, February 24th, 2008 at 11:00 am. Doors open to the public at 10:00 am.
“We are very excited to once again host an Open Practice for our fans,” said Chris Zimmerman, Vancouver Canucks President and CEO. “The Vancouver Canucks are quite pleased that we are able to provide the opportunity for our fans, especially those who could not otherwise attend a game, to see the players live. Last year’s event was very well received and we anticipate a strong response from our fans once again in 2008.”
Fans will have the opportunity to watch their favourite Canucks players take to the ice in preparation of their February 27th match-up against the Colorado Avalanche. The festivities will also include a Canucks shootout challenge as well as appearances by FIN, the Canucks Mascot, and the Smirnoff Ice Team.
Tickets are required for entry and can be reserved through Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone 604.280.4444, on-line at www.ticketmaster.ca or at the Chevy Pickup Window at General Motors Place. There is no charge for admission; a handling fee of $3.00 will be accompanied with each order. There is a limit of six tickets per household.
