Team Canada Goes For Gold

Team Canada shut-out Finland 4-0 in the sold out game last night at General Motors Place. 18, 630 fans from across the country came to display their Canadian patriotism and support their favorite Canadian game. The goals of the game were scored by Kris Russell of the Medicine Hat Tigers, Blake Comeau of the Kelowna Rockets, Andrew Cogliano of the University of Michigan, and Kris Letang of the Val-d'Or Foreurs.

The fans are sure to be even more revved up on Thursday since Team Canada has now earned a spot in the exciting gold medal Showdown to defend its title against Russia, which beat Team USA, 5-1. Game time is 4:00pm at General Motors Place.
