Shinkaruk, Horvat invited to Canada junior camp

Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks, in conjunction with Hockey Canada, are proud to announce that forwards Bo Horvat and Hunter Shinkaruk have been invited to participate in Canada’s National Junior Selection camp from December 12-15, 2013, in Toronto, ON, at the MasterCard Centre.

Horvat was selected by Vancouver ninth overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. The Rodney, ON, native has compiled 37 points (12-25-37) in 24 games to lead the OHL London Knights in scoring this season. In three seasons with the Knights, the 6’0, 206 lbs. forward has recorded 128 points (56-72-128) in 155 regular season games and 27 points (17-10-27) in 17 post-season games.

Shinkaruk was selected 24th overall by Vancouver in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. The Calgary, AB, native has played 18 games with the WHL Medicine Hat Tigers this season, collecting 16 points (5-11-16). In four seasons with the Tigers, the centreman has registered 235 points (105-130-235) in 211 regular season games and 26 points (9-17-26) in 30 post-season games.
