Vancouver, BC – The Vancouver Canucks, BC Hockey and CBC Television are looking to honour a Pee-Wee or Bantam Minor Hockey team in British Columbia. The winning team will have the opportunity to watch the Canucks take on the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Vancouver, BC. The winning team’s exciting day will include watching morning skate, an opportunity to meet the team and tickets to the game that night. Travel and accommodation will be provided if the winning team is from outside the Lower Mainland. The day will be documented and included as part of CBC Television’s Hockey Day in Canada broadcast on February 21st when the Vancouver Canucks take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Who is eligible: British Columbia based Pee-Wee and Bantam Minor Hockey teams who are registered members in good standing of their local Minor Hockey Association and BC Hockey.
How to Enter: Pee-Wee and Bantam teams must submit a poster (maximum size of 24” x 36”) that reflects the statement, “How rivalries make our team better.” The posters must follow several guidelines. They must include the team’s name, the team’s hometown, a drawing of an arena or outdoor rink in the team’s community and must demonstrate that each team member participated in the creation of the poster. All entries will be displayed on the concourses of General Motors Place.
