The first thing you realize when doing a deep dive on Michael Del Zotto's social media accounts is that he's a character.
Case in point:
Del Zotto, who was drafted 20th overall by the New York Rangers in 2008 and joined the Canucks on July 1st, is a jack of all trades - literally. Instagram is where he shows the world his skills, so what better way to get familiar with Vancouver's new defenceman.
The 27-year-old started feeding the Gram on March 26, 2014, from Cabo, holding a baby lion with Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin. Because why not.
Fun fact: Del Zotto and Seguin both played for the St. John's Shamrocks.
Del Zotto also played for the London Knights, with John Tavares.
Yes, there's a pattern here. Del Zotto is bros with everyone.
But no one compares to his best friend Liam Traynor.
Okay, he's tamed Simba, been a movie star and is friends with everyone, but can he music? Oh yes, he can music.
He's actually a DJ, DJ MDZ being his official title, and he's played numerous club shows. He also did the warm-up mix for the Rangers when he played in New York and has voiced interest in doing one for the Canucks. Any requests?
This is not his DJ outfit, but could be. In case you haven't noticed, he isn't a very shy person. #wokeuplikethis
Maybe this is closer to a DJ outfit he'd rock. Mix in some 80's Meatloaf with the 80's gear and the roof, the roof, the roof will be on fire. No water needed, let it burn, burn, let it burn.
Or this. Now accepting bets on whether or not he can dance a mean Carlton Banks. I say he can.
But is he tough? Canucks have to be tough.
Yep, he tough.
Outdoorsy? There's a lot of rugged British Columbia to be enjoyed playing in Vancouver…
Can he cook?
But tell me this, does he live on the edge?
That's accurate, yes.
Michael Del Zotto. Jack of all trades. Literally.
