The Vancouver Canucks Community Relations department put on a clinic today for contest winners from Save-On-Foods. 40 kids from Squamish between the ages of 6-12 were selected to come up to Whistler for a special event. They joined the Canucks coaching staff and Anson Carter, Bryan Allen and Daniel Sedin. The Canucks Manager of Hockey Development, Rod Braithwaite, ran the hour long camp at the Meadow Park Sports Centre. It was the perfect time for the event as today is the last day of on-ice work for the Canucks here in Whistler.
Ian Clarke spent some good one-on-one time with some of the goaltenders in attendance, while the players each took turns helping out the kids and participating in the drills. After the on-ice part of the session was completed, the kids lined up for an autograph session with the players on the bench.
