Reports to: Manager, Creative Services

SUMMARY: The Image Resource Coordinator is responsible for managing the company’s still images (archiving and distribution), as well as supporting the Brand and Creative team with image-related project coordination and administrative tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Establishes and maintains a user-friendly digital image archiving system
  • Catalogs and coordinates digital assets as they are created throughout the season
  • Organizes, scans, archives, and catalogues historical images
  • Fills image and framing requests
  • Liaises with photographers and helps coordinate photo shoots
  • Supports various departments in image sourcing, including, Brand and Creative, canucks.com, Community Relations, Marketing, and Business Development
  • Acts as project coordinator for image-related Brand and Creative jobs, including establishing work plans, preparing work-back schedules, managing timelines and flow of project content with internal and external contributors, organizing client content, as well as communicating project deadlines, project status, content needs and client requirements to the whole project team
  • Performs administrative tasks such as quoting, invoicing, preparing productivity reports, etc., as it relates to image generation, collection, archiving or distribution
  • Works with the Creative Director and the Director, Retail & Consumer Product Marketing to develop revenue generating opportunities through the sale of team and game action photos
  • Works with game day photographers, media relations, and building operations to ensure efficient execution of game day photographic needs

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in library and/or cataloging setting
  • Related post secondary education an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with Digital Asset Management systems
  • Exemplary proofreading skills
  • Extremely organized, motivated, responsible with outstanding time and project coordination abilities, and highly detail oriented
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation
  • Knowledge of the sport of hockey or the Vancouver Canucks an asset
  • Photography, scanning, colour correction skills and print buying experience an asset
