Hockey for Life: Canucks Alumni vs. NRGH Emergency

by Staff Writer / Vancouver Canucks

On February 5th, 2011, The Canucks Alumni and the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NGRH) Emergency Team will face off in the first ever Hockey for Life campaign.

Organizers Joe Lindia, Damian Lang and Jeff Miguez have assembled a team of nurses, respiratory therapists, emergency room doctors and radiologists to challenge the Canuck legends.

This medical dream team will see how their life-savings skills translate on the ice – rumour has it that a few members have Major Junior Hockey experience.

Puck-drop will occur at 6:00 pm at Frank Crane Arena following a tail gate event sponsored by Save-On-Foods.

All proceeds from the event will go to support the NRGH emergency ward expansion and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
