Gretzky Coaches in Vancouver

by Staff Writer / Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks take on the Phoenix Coyotes, in the sold out, game at GM Place. This will be an exciting game as it is the first game of the season and both teams are raring to go and ready to start the season of right. With stands practically sold out in stadiums everywhere, the NHL could break its single-date attendance record of 259,873, set in 14 games on Feb. 15, 2003. What also makes today, unlike no other is that it will be the first time that Wayne Gretzky will coach in Vancouver. GM Place was pretty chaotic today. The insider snapped photos of both the Canucks and the Coyotes as they had their final practice before tonight's game.

This afternoon, GM place became the center of a media frenzy as the coach of the Coyotes, none other then Wayne Gretzky showed up to give his pre-game speech. Check out what the Canucks, Coyotes and yes even Gretzky has to say before the puck hits the ice at 7:30 tonight.
