Ten year Canuck Veteran Garth Butcher made an appearance on January 25, 2010 to sign autographs and talk with fans. With over 900 career NHL games under his belt Butcher had plenty of stories to share as fans lined up for the opportunity to meet him.
The Canucks first choice in the ’81 entry draft proved to be just as popular at the singing as in his playing days. Butcher also visited the Bank Of Montreal suite to visit with Jim Gallagher and other BMO clients. Garth stayed for most of the 1st intermission and chatted at length with clients who remember watching him as a Canuck in the late 1980’s. The atmosphere was light as the guys shared some memories and laughs.Story by Leah Peden, Canucks Centre Student Associate
