Brock Boeser and Thatcher Demko in a showdown for the NCAA Championship?

It could very well happen. But first, each player and their respective schools need a win on Thursday in the Frozen Four semifinals.

Boeser and his North Dakota (32-6-4) squad will take on Denver (25-9-6) in the semifinals on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. PT. The game will be shown live on TSN2. The two teams met five times this season with each team winning twice on home ice during the regular season, while skating to a 1-1 tie in the NCHC Third Place Game.

Boeser has four goals and six points in five games against Denver this season.

Overall, the Canucks’ first round, 23rd overall, pick at the 2015 NHL Draft has amassed 54 points (26-28-54) in 40 games this season.

Demko and Boston College (28-7-5) takes on Quinnipiac (31-3-7) in the other semifinal matchup on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. PT. You can also watch the game live on TSN2. This is the first meeting of the season between the two programs.

The winners will meet on Saturday in the NCAA Championship game at 5:00 p.m. PT live on TSN2.

Demko, the Canucks’ second round, 36th overall, pick at the 2014 NHL Draft, is 27-7-4 on the season to go along with his 1.85 GAA, .936 SV% and 10 shutouts.
