First Strides

by Staff Writer / Vancouver Canucks

On Tuesday February 7th, 2006, The Canucks Centre for BC Hockey hosted their inaugural initiation program. 72 BC Minor Hockey Players aged eight and younger, from all across British Columbia came down to General Motors Place to enhance and develop their hockey skills. The program was divided between on-ice and off-ice training.

The parents of the players enjoyed watching their children as they got to practice on the ice with Vancouver Canucks players Bryan Allen, Ryan Kesler and Maxime Ouellet. Fin also took to the ice to add some flare to the activities. Canucks goaltender Dan Cloutier joined the children in the dressing room to pump them up and get them excited about the ice time.
