Canucks to host town hall meeting in Penticton

by Staff Writer / Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks are proud to announce that in partnership with Penticton Minor Hockey, BC Hockey and Hockey Canada, they will host a town hall meeting in Penticton, British Columbia at 5:00PM on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Casino.

This free event along with the Canucks First Strides in West Kelowna and Save-on-Foods On-Ice Clinic is held in part with the Canucks visit to Penticton for the 2010 Training Camp. In attendance of the Town Hall event will be all members from the Vancouver Canucks coaching staff, including head coach Alain Vigneault, providing a great opportunity for minor hockey coaches, players, parents and volunteers to meet this coming season’s coaches. The meeting will focus on coach development, minor hockey player development and professional development.

People from the minor hockey community at all levels are able to discuss hockey sharing ideas and knowledge in this evening gathering with the purpose to ultimately foster growth of players in grassroots hockey in British Columbia. The last Town Hall event was held in Victoria during the Canucks 2007 training camp and by popular demand has been brought back for this season’s training camp in Penticton. This unique coaching experience has been made available in large thanks to the Penticton Minor Hockey Association and BC Hockey.

To register for this FREE event please fill out this registration form.
