Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks announced today that they will once again hold their Fan Appreciation Night featuring “Jerseys Off Our Backs” on Sunday, December 20th when they play host to the St. Louis Blues at General Motors Place. Canucks fans have sold out 279 consecutive games at General Motors Place and the sell-out streak is expected to reach 302 consecutive games by season’s end.

“We are thrilled to honour the greatest fans in the NHL,” said Canucks Sports and Entertainment President and General Manager Mike Gillis. “This night is a tradition we look forward to and just one small way we can thank our fans for their continued loyal support.”

The “Jerseys Off Our Backs” celebration will see Canucks players present their game-worn sweaters to 24 lucky fans at the conclusion of the game in an effort to thank them for their support. Fans will be chosen through a random draw and escorted onto the ice after the final buzzer sounds.

Fan Appreciation Night also offers Canucks fans the chance to win a number of great prizes at the game. Tickets to a hospitality suite accommodating up to 34 people will be given to one lucky fan. Other key prizing includes an Air Canada Business Class flight and a meet and greet with a Vancouver Canucks player. Additional prizing includes iPod Shuffles, a Sony HD television, a mobile phone courtesy of Telus, a Playstation gaming console, and Sirius satellite radios.
