The Vancouver Canucks announced today that approximately 1,000 single game tickets for two home games in Round 1 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs will go on sale via phone and internet only on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 am. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.ticketmaster.ca
, or by calling Ticketmaster at (604) 280-4400, or 1 (800) 663-9311. General Motors Place Box Office and Ticketmaster Ticket Centres will not be used to avoid disappointing those fans that traditionally line up for hours without successfully purchasing tickets.
Ticket prices for Games 1 and 2 of Round 1 begin at $105. To accommodate as many fans as possible, each household will be eligible to purchase a maximum of four tickets per round. Tickets for subsequent home games will be released once those games are secured. More information will follow at that time.
Fans who are unable to secure tickets on the on-sale date are encouraged to check Ticketmaster regularly within 48 hours of game day up until puck-drop as a select number of tickets may be released for purchase. Tickets to Games 1 and 2 may also be obtained through the Canucks Prime Seat Club starting Monday, April 13th which can be accessed at canucks.com/primeseatclub
. The Canucks Prime Seat Club is a secure site wherein Season Ticket Holders can sell tickets they cannot or choose not to use.
All Canucks Ticket Holders, including Blue Line wait list members, are provided the opportunity to purchase playoff tickets in advance of the public on-sale as part of their benefits package.
Vancouver’s post season schedule and opponent for the Western Conference Quarter-Final has yet to be determined. An announcement is expected after the regular season concludes on Sunday, April 12th.
