Sunrise, Florida - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have selected right wing Brock Boeser 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Boeser, 18, tied for the United States Hockey League lead with 35 goals and ranked third with 68 points in 57 games played with the Waterloo Black Hawks this season. The Burnsville, Minnesota native has appeared in 65 career regular season games split with the Sioux City Musketeers and Waterloo Black Hawks, registering 72 points (38-34-72) and 32 penalty minutes.
On the international stage, Boeser captained Team USA to a bronze medal at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial, where he tied for first in goals and second in points (6-2-8). He also helped capture gold at the 2014 World Junior A Challenge, registering a goal and an assist in the tournament final.
