Canucks Report: Shinkaruk's debut

by Derek Jory / Vancouver Canucks
Hunter Shinkaruk didn’t have to wait long to make is NHL debut.

The forward, who was recalled Saturday, will be in the line-up for the Vancouver Canucks when they face the Montreal Canadiens Monday night at the Bell Centre.

Coach confirmed Shinkaruk is in, while Alex Burrows and Brandon Sutter are out. If the team skates as it did Sunday, expect Shinkaruk to be on the fourth line with Adam Cracknell and Derek Dorsett.

Shinkaruk, who had Canadiens sheets on his bed as a kid (“gift from my grandparents”), is thrilled to not only be making his NHL debut, but to be doing it in such a historic city and arena.

Plus, his parents will be in the stands.

The only other line-up change sees Jacob Markstrom return to the net. He backed the Canucks to their only win of this road trip in Columbus and is hoping to feed off the energy in the building as Vancouver looks for another much-needed victory.
