Canucks Report: Grenier's debut

by Derek Jory / Vancouver Canucks
When the Vancouver Canucks hit the ice Wednesday night to face the Winnipeg Jets, they’ll do so with another rookie in the line-up.

Forward Alex Grenier was recalled from the Utica Comets Tuesday night (Hunter Shinkaruk was reassigned) and he’ll make his NHL debut as the Canucks end a seven-game road trip.

Grenier skated with McCann and Higgins in morning skate Wednesday and he confirmed post-practice that he’s in.

He’s ecstatic, as you could imagine.

The Canucks get another two players back in the line-up Wednesday as Luca Sbisa is set to rejoin the team, as is forward Alex Burrows.

Sbisa has been out since October 30th with an ankle injury suffered against the Arizona Coyotes. He skated with Ben Hutton this morning.

Burrows returns from just a one game absence, due to the birth of his son. Was it a nice relaxed series of events that led to Burrows welcoming his third child into the world?

Quite the opposite.
