Canucks release regional broadcast schedule

VANCOUVER, B.C., – The Vancouver Canucks in partnership with Sportsnet announced their 2013.14 regional broadcast schedule today. A 57-game broadcast schedule will air on Sportsnet throughout the season alongside 25 nationally televised games to provide a complete 82-game televised regular season schedule.

Sportsnet Pacific will broadcast 49 games with eight remaining games scheduled to air on Sportsnet Vancouver Hockey, the Sportsnet ONE companion channel. The first regular season Sportsnet game broadcast is on Sunday, October 6 at Calgary. Play-by-play announcer John Shorthouse, analyst John Garrett and host Dan Murphy join every Sportsnet broadcast in the 2013.14 Vancouver Canucks schedule.

Highlights of the Canucks schedule on Sportsnet include 15 divisional matchups within the new alignment of the Western Conference and four games against original six teams, including a Saturday morning game at the NY Rangers.

In addition to 57 regular season games, Sportsnet will also broadcast four preseason games. Preseason action on Sportsnet Pacific will begin with the Canucks hosting the San Jose Sharks on Monday, September 16th at 7 p.m. PST. Sportsnet Pacific will also broadcast preseason games Wednesday, September 18th at 7 p.m. PST versus the Edmonton Oilers; Monday, September 23rd at 7 p.m. PST versus the Phoenix Coyotes; and Tuesday, September 24th at 7:30 p.m. PST at San Jose.
