Canucks Recall Defenceman Patrick Coulombe

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have recalled defenceman Patrick Coulombe from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Coulombe, 21, has played in 12 games for Manitoba this season, accumulating three points (0-3-3) and eight penalty minutes.

The St. Fabien, Quebec native recorded one goal and two assists (1-2-3) and was a +3 in four pre-season games with the Vancouver Canucks in 2006.

Prior to joining the Moose, Coulombe was a member of the Chicoutimi Saqueneens (2005-06) and Rimouski Oceanic (2001-02 to 2005-06). In his QMJHL career, Coulombe scored 44 goals and 185 assists for a total of 229 points in 297 games.

The 5'10", 185 lbs. defenceman was signed to a contract with the Vancouver Canucks on October 31, 2006 as a free agent.
