Canucks reassign Markstrom to Comets

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have reassigned goaltender Jacob Markström to the AHL Utica Comets.

Markström, 25, has appeared in three games with the Canucks this season. He has also compiled a record of 19-7-2 including five shutouts with the Utica Comets this season. In 50 NHL games split between Vancouver and Florida, the Gavle, Sweden native has a record of 13-28-5 with a 3.19 goals against average.

The 6’6”, 196-pound goaltender was originally selected by Florida 31st overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
