Canucks re-assign Guillaume Desbiens

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that right winger, Guillaume Desbiens has been reassigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Desbiens, 24, made his NHL debut on Sunday in a shootout win for Vancouver over the Dallas Stars. He has played three games with Manitoba this season recording seven penalty minutes. In 78 games during the 2008.09 season Desbiens had 47 points (21-26-47) and 158 penalty minutes.

The 6’2”, 205 lbs. Alma, Quebec native was signed by Vancouver as a free agent on July 22, 2009.
