Canucks re-assign Evan Oberg

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that defenceman Evan Oberg has been re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Oberg, 22, split the season between Manitoba and Vancouver in 2009-10. He has played 70 games with Manitoba this season, registering 26 points (3-23-26) and 64 penalty minutes. Oberg led all Manitoba Moose defencemen in scoring. He also appeared in two games with the Vancouver Canucks.

The 6’1”, 180 lbs. Forestburg, AB, native was signed as a free agent April 7, 2009.
