VANCOUVER, B.C., — The Vancouver Canucks announced today that tickets for the October 10th Open Practice, made possible thanks to BC Hydro, Mr. Lube, The Province, Team 1040 and The Beat 94.5, will be available beginning Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 12:00 pm. The club will invite fans to attend an NHL practice at General Motors Place on Saturday, October 10th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Doors open to the public at 10:00 am.
"Our Open Practice is a great way for Canucks fans to experience how our coaching staff and players prepare for a game," said Mike Gillis, Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager. "The Open Practice provides our fans a fun and unique way to interact with their favourite team."
Fans will have the opportunity to watch their favourite Canucks players take to the ice in preparation for their October 11th match up against the Dallas Stars. Those attending are encouraged to arrive early to watch the Alumni game from 10:00 – 11:00 am and to participate in the pre-practice concourse activities including face-painting, air hockey and an assortment of other games. The Canucks will be giving out great prizes which include a few lucky fans receiving autographed sticks used by Canucks players during practice. The festivities will also include a Canucks shootout challenge as well as appearances by FIN, the Canucks Mascot, and the Mike’s On-Ice Team.

There is no charge for admission; a handling fee of $4.25 will be accompanied with each order. There is a limit of four tickers per household.
