VANCOUVER, B.C., — The Vancouver Canucks announced today that tickets for the October 3rd Open Practice, presented by BC Hydro Power Smart, will be available beginning Friday, September 17th at 10:00 am. The club will invite fans to attend an NHL practice at Rogers Arena on Sunday, October 3rd at 2:00 pm. Doors open to the public at 1:00 pm.
"We are thrilled to share our practice and preparation experience with our tremendous fans,” said Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis. “Open practice has been embraced by both our team and loyal fans and we’re pleased to continue the tradition again this year.”
Fans will have the opportunity to watch their favourite Canucks players take to the ice in preparation for their Opening Night matchup October 9th versus the Los Angeles Kings. Those attending are encouraged to arrive early to participate in the pre-practice concourse activities and opportunities. The first 1000 fans in attendance will have the opportunity to receive autographs from Canucks alumni. Additionally 17 NHL trophies from the Hockey Hall of Fame will be present including the Hart, Art Ross and Conn Smythe trophies. Face-painting and an assortment of other games will also be available in the concourse. The Canucks, in partnership with BC Hydro Power Smart, will be giving out great prizes including autographed sticks to randomly selected fans at the conclusion of the practice. The festivities will also include a Canucks shootout challenge as well as appearances by FIN, the Canucks Mascot, and the Mike’s On-Ice Team.

There is no charge for admission to Open Practice however tickets are required for entry and can be reserved through Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone at 604.280.4400 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca. Tickets will also be available at the Rogers Arena Box Office as of Monday, September 20. A handling fee of $5.90 will be accompanied with each order. There is a limit of six tickets per household.
