The Telethon airs on the TEAM 1040 Sports Radio from Noon till Midnight, and on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific during the game vs. the Nashville Predators from 6:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Telethon television broadcast, hosted by Rogers Sportsnet personalities Don Taylor, Craig MacEwen and Christine Simpson, will feature vignettes of Canuck Place families, Canucks players and special cheque presentations to the Hospice.
Canucks wives, significant others and volunteers will be taking donations by phone (604-777-CARE or 2273, or #2273 on your TELUS Mobility cellular) on March 6th. Donations will also be accepted at the game, where volunteers will collect contributions during the latter half of the first period. One can also visit Canucks.com to donate online.
All Telethon donors who give $100 will receive an exclusive Trevor Linden photograph. For donations of $150 or more, donors will receive both the Trevor Linden photo and a Roberto Luongo
photo. All donors who give by midnight on March 6th are entered to win a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid (contest details on Canucks.com).
