Canucks have fun, prove worth at SuperSkills

by Staff Writer / Vancouver Canucks

On Sunday, December 14th, The Canucks for Kids Fund SuperSkills, powered by Rogers, was held at Rogers Arena. It was an afternoon of family fun with the Vancouver Canucks as the players showcased their prowess in the annual skills competition. The Canucks were assisted by players from the Langley Minor Hockey Association, winners of the Freedom 55 contest. The day also featured an exciting scrimmage with the Canucks Alumni team, as well as fun concourse activities, and an opportunity to meet Fin. Tickets to the event were available as a fundraiser through BC Minor Hockey teams, and in keeping with the spirit of competition, the three top-selling teams were awarded some incredible prizes. In 1st place the Seafair Atom A1 team got the chance to meet the players for a private autograph signing session before the competition. The 2nd place prize of an exclusive on-ice session at Rogers Arena went to the Surrey H4 team, and a Canucks team signed jersey went to the Abbotsford Female Hockey Association Atom C1 team.
