Canucks Future Watch: 12.01.14

Jake Virtanen is off to the Canadian World Junior Camp, while Jordan Subban is not, despite leading the CHL in goals by defencemen, and Cole Cassels will be out of action for a while. A weekly look at some of the top Canucks prospects.


Darren Archibald recorded his first three-point game in the AHL with a two-goal, three-assist performance against Syracuse on Wednesday.

Joacim Eriksson picked up two wins in two starts this past week, which included stopping 26-of-27 in a 2-1 win over Adirondack on Friday, where he was named the First Star.

Alex Friesen cooled down this past week after a very productive first week back in the lineup. He will look to get it going on Tuesday as the Comets kick-off a three-game road trip in the Oklahoma City.

Alex Grenier continues to be consistently productive in the offensive zone, picking up a goal and assist in three games this past week along with a pair of fighting majors. His six goals are good for second on the team.
