Vancouver, BC – The Vancouver Canucks will hold their 26th annual Canucks for Kids Fund (CFKF) Telethon on Monday, March 14th when the team hosts the Winnipeg Jets at Rogers Arena. This year’s telecast will be hosted by Breakfast Television Co-Host Riaz Meghji and Scott Oake of Sportsnet.
The Telethon officially begins Monday morning and will air on TSN 1040 from 6:00 a.m. until midnight. Sportsnet Pacific’s broadcast of the game and Telethon will air from 6:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will feature numerous stories highlighting the special bond between the children of B.C. and Canucks players, coaches, staff and alumni. Youth host Suneil Samra will also return for the fifth straight year.
A celebrity panel of Canucks significant others, sponsor partners, CFKF Directors and volunteers will be taking donations via phone 1-85-KIDSFUND (1-855-437-3863). Donations will also be accepted at the game, where volunteers will collect contributions during the latter half of the first period in the arena. Fans can make donations online at Canucks.com. All Telethon donors who contribute by midnight on March 14th will have a chance to win a 2016 Toyota Rav4 AWD LE donated by Toyota (click here for contest details).
