Celebrity Fall Fashion Gala 2005 Raises Funds for Children's Charities

Matt Cooke, Anson Carter, Henrik Sedin and Jarkko Ruutu strutted the runway at this year's sold out Celebrity Fashion Gala. The event raised over $251,000 for Canuck Place Children's Hospital and the Variety Learning Centre. Produced by Leone, CTV Kids Care and Absolute Spa Group, this year's highlights included fall fashions from Leone, fine Vancouver wine and cuisine, and the added bonus of Absolute Spa treatments.

The Vancouver Canucks walked the catwalk alongside CTV staffers Coleen Christie, Mike Killeen and Susie Wall (among others), as well CKNW's Jennifer Thomson, and The Shopping Bags' Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic. Not only were guests able to enjoy the chocolate browns, regal violets and sapphire blues adorning fall's most decadent fabrics, they were also able to contribute to influential children's charities. For example, guests could purchase "Fund a Need" packages that consisted of specialized equipment or costly treatment for a needy child.

The Black Tie Gala was a huge success, and with over 500 of Vancouver's fashionistas in attendance, it clearly turned into a prominent social event as well.
