Back in the spotlight

Farewell summer, hello hockey – kind of.

As the Labour Day long weekend comes to an end, so too ends the wait for hockey. It’s time to start ramping up for the 2015-16 NHL season.

Who better to talk hockey, and Vancouver Canucks hockey to be specific, than Daniel and Henrik Sedin. The Sedins are in Toronto, Ontario, for the next few days taking part in a Player Media Tour, presented by the NHL and NHLPA.

The annual NHL Player Media Tour brings a handful of the league's top stars together for two days of interviews, photo shoots, promotional videos and more.

Today, Monday, Daniel and Henrik arrived in Toronto just in time to get settled into their hotel, grab a bite to eat and take part in an on-line fantasy football draft. Despite traveling, the Sedins always have their priorities straight.

Tuesday is when the fun begins and during a jam-packed day which has them at the CBC Studios for 8 a.m. EST, they’ll talk to CBC, Viasat, TVA, NHLPA.com, NBC 1, NBC 2, Rogers 1, Rogers 2 and Rogers 3, before autographing this and that during the NHL Charity signing.

Following a break, NHL images will photograph the Sedins, leading into lunch.

The afternoon schedule has the Sedins joining an NHL/NHLPA Future Goals Press Event at a local school; the day ends with Daniel and Henrik attending a World Cup of Hockey reception.

Phew, what a day. And it hasn't even begun yet.

Wednesday features interviews with USA Today, ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated, NHL.com, Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, National Post, Yahoo! and Canadian Press; an on-ice photoshoot will also take place, and thus concludes the Player Media Tour.

As you return to work or school Tuesday, you can follow the Sedins via @VanCanucks on Twitter, @Canucks on Instagram and Canucks on Snapchat. As always, if you have any requests for coverage, tweet us and we'll do our best.

Welcome back hockey (kind of), we missed you (kind of terribly!).
