This is Nilsson's third time playing for Sweden at the World Championships; in 2014 he won six of nine games in a bronze medal finish, before winning one of three starts a year later at the 2015 Worlds. Nilsson was also part of Team Sweden's third place squad at 2010 at the World Junior Championships.
Canucks Prospect Elias Pettersson, also named to Team Sweden, was forced to leave the tournament early after suffering an injury during a preliminary game against Switzerland.
Bo Horvat and Team Canada were in action Saturday as well, falling 3-2 to Switzerland. The Canuck forward was the first to score for Team Canada and was named 'Player of the Game'.

Canada and Team USA battle for bronze Sunday at 6:45am PT.
