Alumni concert to benefit Alberta fire victims

by Staff Writer / Vancouver Canucks

This Sunday’s "Vancouver Canucks Alumni Classic” will be donating some of the concert's funds toward helping victims of this month’s devastating wildfires in northeastern Alberta.

A portion of the proceeds from Sunday night’s “Overtime Jam Session” concert at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver will be forwarded to The Canadian Red Cross campaign now helping to raise funds for those who have been burned out of their homes in and around Fort McMurray.

Here’s how you can get involved and show you care: Buy a ticket for Sunday night’s “Overtime Jam Session” featuring performances from such high-profile Canadian entertainers as Aaron Pritchett, Bobby Wills and Odds. Wait! Buy two tickets. Take a friend ... or give one - or both tickets - to someone who will enjoy a ‘night out.'

Every dollar raised on Sunday will go to charity, but a minimum of half the Canuck Alumni’s share of proceeds will go directly to the Canada-wide relief effort now underway on behalf of our burned-out neighbours. Help us, help them.
