Abbott Street partial closure starting at noon in Round 3

Vancouver, B.C. – Canucks Sports and Entertainment announced today that revised traffic patterns adjacent to Rogers Arena will be in effect during Round 3 home playoff game days, May 15, 18 and if needed, May 24 (Game 5) and 28 (Game 7) starting at 12 p.m. noon.

Starting Sunday, May 15th at noon, Abbott Street, from Expo Blvd. to Gate 16, will be closed to vehicular traffic. Normal vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns will re-open prior to the conclusion of that evening’s game.

Fans attending playoff games at Rogers Arena are encouraged to wear Canucks colours and bring supportive signs. They are also invited to join us two hours prior to every home game at Rogers Arena for the Party on the Plaza, presented by Canadian Tire. Fans will enjoy live music by local DJs, interactive games including street hockey and bubble hockey, fun contests, face painting, Canucks caricature drawings and a chance to meet Canucks Alumni and Fin. The first 1000 people will also receive a complimentary Sizzlin’ Smokie from Grimm’s and drinks courtesy of Coca-Cola. The Beat 94.5 and 103.5 QM/FM will be broadcasting live during the Party on the Plaza. Guests with disabilities can be dropped off at Gate 16 prior to the start of Canucks Round 3 home playoff games on Abbott Street via Pacific Boulevard only. Normal post-game traffic routes will be in effect at the conclusion of the event.

A temporary taxi and limo drop off area will be accommodated on Expo Boulevard to Griffiths Way two hours prior to Round 3 Home playoff games.

TEMPORARY DROP OFF/PICK UP ZONES on Round 3 home playoff game nights:

Buses – Bus drop off and pick up is still available on Griffiths Way. Bus parking is first come, first serve in the designated bus Zone on Expo Blvd. after the curve from Quebec St. to Carrall St

Taxis/Limos/Passenger Zone (pre-game)– Expo Blvd. to Griffiths Way (in front of Costco).
