The Vancouver Canucks have a strong tradition of giving back to the local community and as an organization we are eager to show our dedication to assisting those in need, just as our players do through their numerous charitable endeavours. For that reason, the Canucks close their offices for an entire work day every November as our employees participate in the organization's annual "Live 2 Give" event.
For the last 28 years, the Vancouver Canucks organization, through the Canucks for Kids Fund (CFKF), has dedicated its resources to assist hundreds of charities throughout the province of British Columbia, focusing on the areas of children's health and wellness, grassroots hockey development, and the facilitation of public education. The Canucks for Kids Fund's signature charities include the Canucks Autism Network, Canuck Place Children's Hospice and BC Children's Hospital.
Live 2 Give allows us to expand our reach into the community even further and offers our employees a meaningful experience by enabling them to share their skills and knowledge with Lower Mainland charities. In addition to strengthening existing partnerships with our signature charities, Live 2 Give also provides us with a chance to develop new relationships with charities that we have not yet had the opportunity to reach.
The entire Vancouver Canucks organization would like to extend our thanks to the charities we work with every year and for allowing us to be a part of the positive change that each organization fosters.
