NEWARK - The Canadiens announced on Tuesday following the game against the Devils that goaltender Zach Fucale had been reassigned to the AHL's Laval Rocket.
The 22-year-old was called up from the Rocket on Monday on an emergency basis.
Fucale dressed as the backup to Charlie Lindgren on Tuesday night in New Jersey, but did not play.
The Rosemere native has split time with the Rocket and the ECHL's Brampton Beast this season.
With Laval, the Canadiens' 2013 second-round pick (36th overall) has posted an 8-3-0 record, 3.10 goals-against average and .891 save percentage in 12 games in 2017-18.
