William - Bitten

MONTREAL - Will Bitten went eight straight playoff games without finding the back of the net for the OHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, but that all changed on Friday night.

The 19-year-old centerman was sent in all alone on Kingston Frontenacs goaltender Jeremy Helvig - and he made absolutely no mistake with his maneuver.

The goal - which came short-handed - was Bitten's third of the postseason, and it helped the Bulldogs earn a 7-1 win over the Frontenacs at the FirstOntario Centre.
With the victory, Hamilton took a two-games-to-none lead in their Eastern Conference Championship Series.

Meanwhile, fellow Canadiens hopeful Hayden Verbeek was held without a point in the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds' 3-2 victory over the Kitchener Rangers in their Western Conference Championship Series opener, which was also held on Friday night in Northern Ontario.
