After snapping a five-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Flames on Friday night, the Coyotes concluded last week with a 4-1 loss to the Sharks on Saturday.

Player to watch: Oliver Ekman-Larsson: The Coyotes’ high-scoring rearguard has registered three point nights in two of his last five contests.

Wins over the Senators and Red Wings last week have helped propel the Avalanche into the 7th spot in the Western Conference standings.

Player to watch: Nathan Mackinnon: In his third season in the NHL, Mackinnon has collected 19 goals and 25 assists to lead Colorado with 44 points.
