The Penguins have enjoyed their cross Canada trip, picking up wins over Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton before losing to Calgary Saturday night. Following the road trip the Penguins returned home to prepare for the Canadiens’ visit to the Consol Energy Centre Wednesday night.

Player to watch: Sidney Crosby:  The Penguins’ superstar was held scoreless with a minus-4 rating in Pittsburgh’s  most recent game, a 4-2 loss to the Calgary Flames. The struggling superstar has always enjoyed playing against the Canadiens, tallying 38 points in just 29 games.

Saturday Nov. 14

In 2014-15 vs Avalanche : 2-0-0

The Avalanche head into this week after suffering back to back losses against the Coyotes and Rangers on Thursday November 5, and Friday November 6.  The struggling Avalanche, who are scheduled kick off a seven-game road trip, will stop off in Philadelphia and Boston before visiting the Bell Centre on Saturday night.

Player to watch: Nathan MacKinnon: Mackinnon presently leads Colorado in goals, assists, points, plus-minus, and shots on goal in his third campaign as a member of the Avalanche. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native heads into this week with points in five of his last six games, collecting eight points in that span.
