Shea Weber undergoes surgery, recovery expected to be six months

The procedure to repair an injury to tendons in his left foot was performed on Tuesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin

The Canadiens issued a medical update on the status of Shea Weber on Tuesday night.

Defenseman Shea Weber underwent surgery earlier today to repair an injury to tendons in his left foot. His recovery period is expected to be six months. Surgery was performed by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Club will coordinate a media opportunity with Shea at a later date.
