CHICAGO -- The Canadiens made several roster moves on Thursday morning.

Goaltender Cayden Primeau was recalled from the taxi squad on an emergency basis after Jake Allen was injured during last night's game in Boston.
Allen surrendered two goals on seven shots in 17:11 of action before leaving the contest late in the first period.
Goaltender Michael McNiven was also reassigned to the taxi squad from the Laval Rocket. He will join the team in Chicago.
Meanwhile, forward Brandon Baddock and defenseman Louie Belpedio were loaned to Laval and will meet the team in Springfield, MA.
Defenseman Kale Clague will also join the Canadiens in Chicago after exiting the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.
The Canadiens won't hold a formal skate this morning ahead of their matchup against the Blackhawks. Only a few players will hit the ice at the United Center.
Head coach Dominique Ducharme will meet the media around 6:15 p.m. ET.
