Tomas Tatar Worlds 0518

MONTREAL - Tomas Tatar had the game-winner in a 7-1 win for Slovakia over Great Britain at the IIHF World Hockey Championship on Saturday.

The Habs forward skated for 17:51 and registered a team-high (tied) five shots in the win. He finished with a plus-1 differential.
The win helped Slovakia improve to 3-0-0-3 in the preliminary round and keep its hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals alive. That said, if the United States beats Germany on Sunday, the host country won't make it past the opening round of the tournament.
Slovakia's next game - its final of the preliminaries - takes place on Tuesday against Denmark at 10:15 a.m. ET.
