Three prospects make Team Canada World Junior roster

MONTREAL - Team Canada's 22 man roster is now set for this year's World Junior Hockey Championships in Calgary and Edmonton.

Three Habs prospects will be donning the Maple Leaf when the tournament kicks off on Boxing Day. Saint John defenseman Nathan Beaulieu will join forwards Michael Bournival (Shawinigan) and Brendan Gallagher (Vancouver) in the quest for a gold medal on home soil.                    

Canada begins it's tournament on December 26 against Finland.


Goaltenders: Scott Wedgewood (Plymouth), Mark Visentin (Niagara).

Defencemen: Ryan Murray (Everett), Brandon Gormley (Moncton), Mark Pysyk (Edmonton), Dougie Hamilton (Niagara), Nathan Beaulieu (Saint John), Jamie Oleksiak (Saginaw), Scott Harrington (London).

Forwards: Mark Scheifele (Barrie), Mark Stone (Brandon), Quinton Howden (Moose Jaw), Michael Bournival (Shawinigan), Brendan Gallagher (Vancouver), Freddie Hamilton (Niagara), Ryan Strome (Niagara), Boone Jenner (Oshawa), Tanner Pearson (Barrie), Jaden Schwartz (Colorado College), Devante Smith-Pelly (Anaheim), Brett Connolly (Tampa Bay), Jonathan Huberdeau (Saint John).
