MONTREAL – Here's a numerical look at the showdown between the Canadiens and the Rangers at the Bell Centre on Saturday night.

5 – Number of consecutive games in which Erik Cole has recorded at least one point, the Oswego, NY native extending his streak Saturday night with a first period power play marker against the Rangers.

3 – Number of times that the Canadiens had to test Martin Biron before managing to find the back of the net. Erik Cole would take the honors after firing a perfect shot past the Rangers’ netminder.

0.75 – Average number assists-per-game this season for Tomas Plekanec, with the Czech pivot notching his 15th assist in 20 games in 2011-12 on the Habs first goal of the night.

2 – Number of Habs rookies currently making an impression in 2011-12, with Raphael Diaz coming into Saturday night’s game ranked 1st in shots among rookie defensemen with 24, and Alexei Emelin ranked 2nd in hits among rookie defensemen with 36.

101 – Number of points amassed by Scott Gomez since joining the Habs in 2009-10, with the former-Ranger nabbing an assist on Brian Gionta’s second period goal, and then another on a picture-perfect setup for the captain in the third.

17 – Number of shots taken by the Rangers on Carey Price, the second lowest total of the season after the 14 shots taken by the Oilers on Nov. 8.
