NEW YORK – Here’s a numerical look at the game between the Canadiens and the Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.

6 – Consecutive number of games Blake Geoffrion missed before finding his way back into the lineup on Friday night, replacing Ryan White who was sidelined with the flu.

403 – Number of man games lost to injury for the Canadiens this year, including the eight players who were out of the lineup on Friday: Mathieu Darche, Travis Moen, Tomas Kaberle, Yannick Weber, Scott Gomez, Raphael Diaz, Brian Gionta and White.

2 – Number of shots fired by Max Pacioretty in the outing, bringing the 23-year-old’s season total to 270 – good enough to crack the Top 10 in the NHL in that category.

7 – Number of times throughout the 86-year rivalry between the Canadiens and the Rangers that the teams have faced off at Madison Square Garden on a Friday night, having most recently done so last season.

42 – Number of games this season in which David Desharnais has won at least 50% of his faceoffs, doing so again on Friday night by going 10 for 19 on his draws against the Rangers.

3 – Number of players in NHL history who have blocked more shots than Josh Gorges in a single season. The Habs blue-liner added another four blocks on Friday, bringing his season total to 238 – good enough for fourth all-time in league history.

13:34 – Time needed by the Canadiens to get their first shot in the third period.

5 – Number of times the Habs have been limited to less than 20 shots in a game this season, firing just 15 shots at Henrik Lundqvist on Friday night.
