MONTREAL – Here is a numerical look at the Canadiens-Sabres showdown on Saturday night at the Bell Centre.

21-Combined points racked up by the line of Alex Tanguay, Saku Koivu and Alex Kovalev in only three games since being formed as a line on Tuesday.

10-Points piled by Tanguay over his current five-game point streak (3-7-10).

11 – Number of Habs players to reach the 10-goal plateau so far this season, after Christopher Higgins joining the double-digit club when he roofed a shot over Ryan Miller in the second period.

-Length in games of Higgins’ scoring drought which he snapped by getting the Habs on the board in the second period.

12-Seasons played for the Canadiens by Sabres captain Craig Rivet, who dropped the gloves with Tom Kostopoulos in the first period.

20 – Number of points picked up by Josh Gorges in 74 games this year, one more than in his previous three seasons combined.

10 – Number of Canadiens goals to come with a two-man advantage so far in the 2008-09 campaign.

17-Habs players to have thrown at least one hit against the Sabres on Saturday night, with Mathieu Schneider, and of course goalie Carey Price, being the only Canadiens to have not delivered a check.
