MONTREAL - Here’s a numerical look at the game between the Islanders and the Canadiens at  the Bell Centre on Saturday night.

31 – Number of games played by Aaron Palushaj with the Canadiens before scoring the first goal of his NHL career against the New York Islanders’ Al Montoya early in the first frame of Saturday night’s tilt at the Bell Centre.

4 – Number of times the Canadiens have dropped the gloves in their last three tilts, with Petteri Nokelainen, P.K. Subban, Brad Staubitz and most recently, Ryan White all throwing down for the Habs within the last week.

5:13 – Amount of time taken for Josh Gorges to log his first blocked shot in Saturday night’s game, forgetting the bruises and picking up right where he left off after a posting a career-high 10 blocked shots over 26:39 of ice time the night before.

5 – Estimated percentage of the Bell Centre crowd rocking green for St. Patrick’s Day, with the majority of Habs fans still opting to represent their team by sporting the traditional bleu-blanc-rouge.

5– Number of hits logged by Ryan White in the Canadiens’ tilt against the Islanders, with the Habs’ forward upping his team’s physical ante, adding a healthy helping of hits to his first period fight.

21:49 – Andrei Markov’s ice time in Saturday’s game after missing his team’s tilt the night before in Ottawa.

2 – Number of assist posted by goalie Peter Budaj this season, with his latest coming on Louis Leblanc’s third period game-tying marker. With the helper, the Slovakian goalie also tied his 2006-07 career-high for points in a season.
