by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

VANCOUVER - Here’s a numerical look at the game between the Canadiens and the Canucks at  Rogers Arena on Saturday night.

140 – Number of games Andrei Markov has been forced to watch from the press box recovering from ACL reconstruction surgery over the past season and a half, finally making his return to action on Saturday night.

2 – Exact number of years to the day since Erik Cole began his latest Iron Man streak, playing in 167 consecutive games since March 10, 2010.

2 – Number of players who have been in the lineup for each of the Canadiens’ 69 games so far this season; David Desharnais missed his first game of the year on Saturday, leaving only Cole and Josh Gorges in that exclusive club.

6 – Number of masks worn by Carey Price so far in 2011-12, debuting his latest design against the Canucks.

34:41 – Number of minutes Tomas Plekanec had previously played alognside Max Pacioretty and Erik Cole this season prior to Saturday’s game; the Czech center filled in for Desharnais between the two power forwards against the Canucks.

5 – Consecutive number of games in which Pacioretty has recorded at least a point, adding two assists on Saturday to bring his total to five goals and five assists in that span.

6 – Number of times a Habs player has dropped the gloves in a game since Brad Staubitz’s arrival on February 28, including three by Staubitz himself following his second-period bout with Zack Kassian.

48 – Number of games – playoffs included – since Blake Geoffrion last found the back of the net, getting his first goal as a Hab to tie the game at one in the second period.

12 – Number of players who have recorded their first goal with the Habs this season, with Geoffrion becoming the latest to add his name to that list against the Canucks.

2 – Number of teams against whom Markov has yet to record an assist in the NHL, crossing the Canucks off his list with a helper on the power play on Saturday night.

2 – Consecutive number of wins registered by the Canadiens at Rogers Arena since suffering eight-straight losses in Vancouver from December 2000 to October 2009.
