by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
MONTREAL - Here's a numerical look at the Canadiens-Jets game at the Centre Bell on Sunday afternoon.

59 – The Canadiens’ winning percentage on Super Bowl Sunday entering Sunday afternoon’s tilt against the Winnipeg Jets. The Habs boast a 13-8-1-0 record in 22 contests played on the biggest day of the NFL campaign.

500 – Number of games Douglas Murray has suited up for in his NHL career, including Sunday afternoon’s tilt against the Winnipeg Jets. The 33-year-old defenseman is in his ninth NHL season, and has previously played for the San Jose Sharks and Pittsburgh Penguins.

654 – Number of games Tomas Plekanec has contested with the Canadiens, including Sunday afternoon’s game against the Jets, moving the veteran centerman into 29th spot alongside Dickie Moore on the all-time list in that particular category.

5 – Number of shots blocked by defenseman Alexei Emelin on Sunday afternoon against the Jets, upping his career total to 195.

2 – Number of times over the course of his 12-year NHL career in which Brian Gionta has failed to score at least 10 goals in a season. The Canadiens captain hit double-digits in goals on Sunday afternoon, picking up his 10th tally of the year in the second period.

12 – Number of NHL teams against which Tomas Plekanec has racked up at least 20 points over the course of his career. Plekanec added the Jets to that list on Sunday afternoon by picking up an assist on Gionta’s second-period tally.

6 – Number of hits dished out by Brandon Prust on Sunday afternoon, matching a season-high the power forward established on Jan. 18 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

100 – Faceoff percentage amassed by Michael Bournival on Sunday afternoon as the young winger won all four of his match-ups, besting the likes of Jets centermen Olli Jokinen and James Wright along the way.
