5 – Bulldogs players in the Habs lineup on Saturday afternoon against the Penguins, a list that includes Ryan White, David Desharnais, Brock Trotter, Mathieu Darche and Ben Maxwell.
2 – Career NHL games played by Desharnais, both coming against the Penguins, with the speed demon having made his NHL debut in Pittsburgh back on November 25.

29 – Number of years since the Canadiens last iced a lineup that included two 5-foot-7 players, with Henri Richard and Bobby Sheehan’s appearance together in the 1971 playoffs leading the way for small-but-mighty forwards Brian Gionta and Desharnais on Saturday afternoon.

17 – Number of Habs players who skated in their first career NHL game this season. Bulldogs current leading scorer, Brock Trotter, became the most recent to add his name to the list against the Penguins.

5 – Number of games in Canadiens history in which a player has suited up as No. 59. Trotter followed in the footsteps of Mikhail Grabovski, who wore the number for three games with the Habs and Martti Jarventie who played one.

32 – Number of points Gionta has racked up in 40 career games against Pittsburgh, his highest offensive total against any one NHL team.

2 – Consecutive number of Saturday games at the Bell Centre in which the Habs chased the opposing goalie from the net, ending Marc-Andre Fleury’s afternoon early a week after doing the same to All-Star New York Ranger Henrik Lundqvist.

5 – Number of three-point games recorded by Tomas Plekanec so far this season, adding a goal and two assists against the Penguins to bring his team-high total to 58 points in 59 games.
